Brake, engine, transmission and diesel repair where the fault is proven, the price is set with you, and nothing gets replaced until you say yes.

How a visit goes

Five Steps, and You Sign Off on the Middle One

Most frustration with repair shops comes from the bill showing up before the explanation. We flip that order, so the conversation about money happens while you still have every option open.

  1. You call and describe it

Tell us what the car is doing, when it started and what makes it worse. A noise on cold mornings points somewhere different than a noise after a long climb, so the details matter.

  2. We look it over at no charge

Bring it in for a free vehicle inspection. A technician checks the system you called about and the obvious wear items around it, so nothing gets missed on the first look.

  3. You get the price and the reasons

We show you what we found, what it costs to fix, and which parts of the list are urgent versus worth planning for. Nothing moves forward until you agree to the number.

  4. We do the work you approved

The repair covers what you signed off on and nothing more. If something new turns up halfway through, we stop and call before touching it.

  5. You drive it before you pay

We walk you through what was replaced, hand back the old parts if you want them, and make sure the original complaint is gone before the keys change hands.

Why people switch to us

A Repair Shop That Talks Price Before It Talks Parts

Plenty of shops can turn a wrench. What sends people our way is how the decisions get made: in the open, with numbers, and with you holding the final say.

Hand holding a diagnostic tablet connected to a vehicle
The number comes first
You hear the full cost of the repair, parts and labor together, before we start. If the price would change, you hear about it before the work does.
Tested, not guessed
A warning light or a clunk gets traced to its source with a scan tool, a meter and a test drive. We replace the part that failed, not the three parts that usually fail.
Honest about what can wait
Some findings need attention this week, others can ride until your next oil change. We sort them for you so the bill matches the risk, not the shop's sales target.
Repair or replace, laid out side by side
If the engine or gearbox is failing, both paths get priced next to each other, fixing it or swapping it, and we say which one suits the age and mileage of your vehicle.

Questions Superior Drivers Ask Before Booking

These come up on the phone every week, usually from someone deciding whether a noise or a light can wait. If your question is not here, call and ask it; a two-minute conversation often settles whether the car needs to come in this week or next month.

What does diagnosing a problem cost, and does that money count toward the fix?

The vehicle inspection is free. If a fault needs deeper testing, such as tracing a wiring problem or a misfire that comes and goes, we tell you what that testing will cost before we start it, and how it relates to the repair price. You never find a diagnostic charge on the bill that nobody mentioned.

What do you actually look at during the free inspection?

We start with the system you called about, then check the wear items that commonly ride along with it: brake pads and rotors, tires, suspension joints, fluid levels and condition, belts and hoses, and any stored trouble codes. You get the findings in plain language with a price for anything that needs work.

How can I tell my brakes are due?

Listen and feel. A high squeal when you first press the pedal often means the wear indicators are touching, grinding means metal on metal, and a pulsing pedal usually points to warped rotors. A pedal that sinks or feels soft is a hydraulic problem and should be looked at right away rather than after the weekend.

Will you work on my make, or only certain brands?

Domestic, Japanese, Korean and European vehicles all come through the bays, along with half-ton pickups and light-duty diesels. If your vehicle needs a tool or software we do not keep, we tell you on the phone instead of after it has been sitting in the lot.

What happens at a factory-scheduled maintenance visit?

We follow the interval list in your owner's manual for your mileage: oil and filter, fluid checks or exchanges, filters, spark plugs or belts when they come due, and an inspection of brakes and steering. We record what was done so your service history stays complete.

Do I get a price before you start?

Always. After the inspection you hear the cost of the repair, broken into parts and labor, and you decide. If we find something new once the work is underway, we stop and call you with a price for it. Nothing gets added quietly.

How do I spot a transmission problem before it gets expensive?

Pay attention to shifts that feel late or slam into gear, a pause before the car moves after you select drive or reverse, revs that climb while road speed does not, and fluid that looks dark or smells scorched. Caught at that point, the fix is often a fluid service or a valve body repair rather than a full rebuild.

About the shop

Who Works on Your Car Here

Superior Colorado Auto Pros is a small independent shop built around one habit: explaining the repair before charging for it. The person who inspects your vehicle is the person who calls you with the findings, so the story never gets lost between the counter and the bay. We work on everyday commuters, family SUVs and diesel pickups, and we treat a brake job with the same care as an engine replacement.
